I am excited to join the team at the Norton & Elaine Sarnoff Center for Jewish Genetics as its 2021 Lewis Summer Intern. I am a rising sophomore at the University of Michigan, where I am majoring in biopsychology, cognition and neuroscience. I am undecided in my specific career path, but I intend to work in the healthcare field while maintaining my core value of tikkun olam, repairing the world. On campus, I serve as the marketing manager for a student-run mental health hotline, hEARt Listens, and I also serve as a text supporter for the organization. I am active in Hillel and my sorority, Chi Omega. In my free time, I love to bike, cook, and hang out with friends & family!
I am home in Highland Park for the summer, working for the Sarnoff Center virtually. Growing up in Highland Park and attending Jewish summer camp, I was exposed to many Jewish opportunities, whether through JUF or other organizations. I look forward to exploring my interest in science and medicine in relation to Jewish ancestry. The Sarnoff Center is an amazing resource for the Jewish community, and I am eager to learn and assist in its work to further educate the Jewish community on the importance of genetic counseling.
